Coaching Certification Programmes

National Cricket Academy Toronto provides quality coaching certification programmes to the professionals at different levels with the help of the International Cricket Associations and Internationally Qualified Tutors.

 Level 1 (Community or Beginners Coaching)

Coaches at this level of instruction are usually working with participants who are experiencing the sport for the first time through a series of instructional sessions. Typically there is no formalized competition at this level and it is only about skill development.


Prerequisites

  • Trained in NCCP, Making Ethical Decisions, Intro Part-1.
  • At least 1 year coaching experience at community level.
  • Physically fit.

 Level 2 (Intermediate and Club Coaching)

Coaches in the Intermediate and Advanced Performers level of instruction are very specialized instructors who are specifically there to assist the athlete’s crossing over to competitive sport and to gain enhanced skills, and in some cases, tactical development specific to their sport. Coaches in the competition stream usually have previous coaching experience or are former athletes in the sport.


Prerequisites

  • Must have Level 1 Certification
  • Certified in NCCP, Making Ethical Decisions, Intro Part-1
  • At least 2 years coaching experience at community level or club level.
  • Physically fit.

 Level 3 (Elite or Advance Coaching)

Coaches at this level must have sport-specific skills and training, whether coaching at the beginner or advanced skill levels. Many are former participants in the sport

They tend to work with athletes over the long term to improve performance, often in preparation for provincial, national, and international competitions.


Prerequisites

  • Must have Level 2 Certification
  • Certified in NCCP, Making Ethical Decisions, Intro Part-1
  • At least 5 years coaching experience at Provincial, National or Elite level.
  • Physically fit.

 

Note: Each and every level includes Batting, Bowling, Fielding Skill practice and skill tests as well as series of lectures of Sports Science subjects such as : Sports Biomechanics, Sports Psychology, Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine and Injury prevention.
